Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to the FAQ page for TopDividendETFs.com! Find answers to common questions about our free tool, dividend ETFs, and how we provide value to the dividend investing community.

What is TopDividendETFs.com?

TopDividendETFs.com is a simple yet effective FREE tool created by Devoted Dividends. This tool was created out of necessity. As a retail investor seeking information about dividend ETFs, I always wished there was a single place to find updated, accurate information about dividend ETFs, like Yield, AUM, etc. Since this didn’t exist, I built it for the dividend investing community. This top dividend ETF list is curated and is for entertainment purposes only, not financial advice. I am a retail investor sharing information easily found online and am not giving buy or sell signals EVER.

How are the ETFs picked to be added?

As a full-time dividend investor, I have a good read on the dividend investing “scene” and know which ETFs are popular and in demand. I include any and all dividend ETFs that fit that criteria, along with those I personally find interesting and want to watch closely. I will be adding and removing ETFs often and welcome the community's input on this.

How do you find the Dividend Yield?

The dividend yield for each ETF is updated as many times per week as possible, setting this tool apart from others. The yield is sourced from each ETF’s main website. Yields can be inaccurate at times, but I do my best to ensure they are as accurate as humanly possible! I update them by hand and don’t scrape data, which often leads to inaccuracies.

What is AUM?

AUM stands for Assets Under Management. This data is taken from the main website of each ETF and will be as accurate as possible, but at times may not be accurate.

What is Price Decay?

The Price Decay metric is determined by whether the ETF has grown or declined in price since inception. This is just one metric and does not indicate if an ETF is “good” or “bad,” but it’s a helpful data point for the community. This metric can be inaccurate at times, like all data on this website.

How Are ETFs Graded?

The ETF grading is a fun metric I added to the site. Grades are based on factors like yield, stability in yield, price decay, fund provider, and other considerations. The grades are opinion-based and are not a signal to buy or sell anything. Email me for any other questions: Business@topdividendETFs.com
